4 Ways to Soothe Arthritis Pain

To lose weight, you can do low-impact exercises. This would include things like swimming and water aerobics, or just simply walking in the water. Water helps your body move, and puts less stress on your joints.

Do Some Hot/Cold Therapy
Hot/Cold therapy uses the two opposite temperatures in a balancing act that makes for the perfect relief.
Long, warm showers in the morning help ease the stiffness you find in your joints, and a heating pad or heated blanket can produce the same results other times of the day. Cold treatments are used to reduce swelling and inflammation, and works on relieving the joint pain.
As a general guideline, cold treatments are typically used for acute injuries or pain, as well as inflammation and swelling, and hot treatments are used to help with muscle pain or stiffness. Make Sure to Sit Comfortably
With Arthritis, you may find yourself feeling uncomfortable after periods of time sitting. Sitting in uncomfortable positions may be causing stress on your joints. You may find that you don’t realize your joints are under stress until you try to get up and it hurts. To avoid this pain, you can stretch at intervals during your time sitting, or get a lift chair.
