Ramp Rentals for Temporary Disabilities

Trying to live with a mobility-affecting disability can be difficult, even if it’s only temporary. At Freedom Mobility, we’ve worked with a number of disabled people over the years, both temporary disabilities and permanent disabilities. We wanted to take a little bit of time today to talk about ramp rentals and how you can benefit from them.

How Long Will You Have Mobility Problems?

Whether you’ve broken your leg, or are experiencing spinal issues, if you have problems getting around, you need some help from mobility equipment. You can get around in a wheelchair, but that can be hard to do without the proper ramps. If you anticipate you’ll only be disabled for a short period of time, then you may be ok with just a single ramp rental, but if you will be dealing with your disability for a while, you may consider renting, or buying, multiple ramps to keep around your home.

Are You in a Permanent Home?

When considering whether or not to rent or buy, you should also consider how long you plan on being in your current residence. Many ramps need to be fixed into place and will need to be installed, so if you plan on moving soon, renting is probably much better than buying and having them installed permanently.

What’s the Layout of Your House?

Bigger houses and houses that have multiple floors typically require more ramps than houses that are smaller. If you live in a house that’s a little on the smaller side, you may be fine with just a lone ramp, but if you have a bigger house, you’ll likely need a couple of ramps set up to help you get around.
